“Story Board is such a valuable service for writers, whether you're still developing your voice or wanting to polish work prior to publication. All the feedback from Caroline was insightful and encouraging, with advice covering many different aspects of the writing, from word choice and grammar to overall tone, structure and pacing. Highly recommended and worth every penny!”

My mentoring sessions with Caitlin were just what I needed to get back on track with my novel after a major writing slump. I found the regular (fortnightly) meetings helped me to get into a good writing habit, and Caitlin’s feedback on my work was always insightful and encouraging. I’ve no doubt I’ll be booking in for some more sessions next time I need a little push. I wish I’d found Story Board years ago.

Caroline Brothers is a sensitive, probing reader who took the time and effort to supply detailed feedback on my ms. She made cogent, thoughtful observations on characters, themes and story line, and made concrete suggestions on how these might be sharpened and balanced to bring the work into better focus. Her review was invaluable in taking the work forward.
— Linda Healey
Working with Caitlin from Story Board was a real game changer for me. She helped me to identify and acknowledge the strengths of my writing and gave me the motivation and courage to see the first draft of my manuscript to the end. Her suggestions for improvement were always spot on and I particularly appreciated the way she engaged with my work. I’m really grateful for the support, encouragement and insights that she offered.
— Alison, writer and coach
Before I met Caitlin, I had reached a very low point with my writing and was wondering if it was worth continuing. Working one-to-one with her restored my faith in my abilities. The time we spent together helped me to complete the first draft of my novel and win a place on an Arts Council-funded scheme that will take me on the next stage of my writing journey.

Caroline’s assistance in restructuring my article for a leading peer-reviewed medical journal improved it immeasurably. This was the best of all the services I have used in 30 years of writing articles and contributing to books.
— W. M., Professor in oral epidemiology. University of London
Caitlin inspired our volunteers to take ownership of their writing, to feel excited about the possibilities of how they could express themselves, and to not feel that there was only one ‘correct’ way of writing. As a result, the writing produced for our project’s online publication is thoughtful, creative and inspiring, interweaving personal experiences with careful research to create innovative and highly accessible texts.
I really enjoyed Caitlin’s writing workshop - huge fun, instructive and inspiring.

Caitlin’s sessions were both inspiring and supportive. I could send her questions in advance to prepare for each session so that we could get going efficiently, and her experience as a teacher really shows as she has endless patience and encouragement. I really trusted her advice and was able to see the benefit quickly in my own writing afterwards.
